The Harry Potter Attraction at Universal Studios Japan

What is you favorite book of all time? Mine is the Harry Potter series. When I learned that Universal Studios in Japan has the Harry Potter attraction, I hyperventilate – not kidding because I am obsess like that.

I literally had tears in my eyes upon seeing Hogwarts castle from afar from so much joy. The flying car that crashed the supposedly “Whomping Willow” tree will welcome visitors.

Who can forget the Hogwarts Express that runs from King’s Cross Station Platform 9¾ to Hogsmeade?

We lined up for the Ollivander’s store and it was magical inside.  “The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter.” My friend had a one-of-a-kind experience practicing spells with Mr. Ollivander until the wand chose him.

I feel like a kid in a candy store while I was in Hogsmeade. Every corner is so pretty! The smoke in the chimneys, fake snow on the rooftops and the lamp posts will surely give you a festive Christmas vibe.

Window display at Honeydukes which is a famous sweet shop where you can buy Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, Chocolate Frogs and other quirky treats. Honeydukes also has a secret passage from Hogwarts.

Window display (left) the Monster Book of Monster – when Harry turned 13, Hagrid gave him this book as a present. He will be their teacher later on at the Care of Magical Creatures class (right) to better describe the effect of Puking Pastilles:

George Weasley: “They’re double-ended, colour-coded chews. If you eat the orange half of the Puking Pastilles, you throw up. Moment you’ve been rushed out of the lesson for the hospital wing, you swallow the purple half -”
Fred Weasley: “- which restores you to full fitness, enabling you to pursue the leisure activity of your own choice during an hour that would otherwise have been devoted to unprofitable boredom.”

Hogwarts Castle was so lovely that night. Suddenly images of flying broomsticks, cauldrons, potion spells, dragons and quidditch match played in my mind. I absolutely had one of the best times with my first Harry Potter attraction experience. 

The conductor of Hogwarts Express approached us while we were drinking our butterbeer for a little chat and photo-ops. All aboard the Hogwarts Express choo! Choo!

Before I end this post, I have a confession to make. I actually belong to the house of Slytherin – well that was according to the Pottermore quiz.
